Some bloggers are conceited beyond belief, thinking that they invented the use of certain styles. The arrogant writer in question accused other bloggers of stealing what he'd done, because no one could 've thought up the idea on their own without having copied his blog style.
Example 1: Using song titles as post titles, quoting lyrics in posts.
- Many bloggers are doing this!
Example 2: Using bold text within a paragraph for emphasis.
-I've seen this all over too. I've been doing it on occassion through the years, even before the internet exisited.
Example 3: Writing fiction in a "soap opera" style, continueing epic drama.
- There are many writers in blogland. Do a search!
Example 4: Stealing his blog title, which is a popular, hip phrase.
- It's said all the time all over the place.
Wake up and smell the truth!
You do not and can not own a phrase or a title. You are not as original as you think you are. Often the members of a society's common generation has similar inventions concurrently ocurring to different individuals because of similar influences.
Things I believed I invented have been proven to be a socially occurring phenomenon.
Example, I thought the term, "Bubble Butt" was my invention. Now every one is using the term, although I never passed it out around. Many thought of it, obviously!
