Where Is the Love?

There's a new trend toward making blogs "Invitation only".
It doesn't feel good to suddenly be excluded from something you were actively participating in!

For two years I kept up on reading "K"s blog, n leaving comments to which she answered, n visited mine. Then one day, I'm unable to get into the blog to keep up with the new Weekly post. I didn't have an email address showing on my blog, so no invitation was sent before I suddenly could no longer get her address. No explaination, just cut off. How Cold!

I assume these people who enable "comment Moderation" are being hounded by undesirables along the lines of stalkers. I'm sure my added thoughts and opinions were harmlessly unthreathening.

Comments is why I like the interactive nature of the medium, blogging.
It's the "why I became a blogger," the why I go back to read again.
Without building up a reader base,
What's the point?

I can see having a friend or family group blog, but to take a publicly open forum away from active participants without even explaining is just plain rude and uncalled for!

I thought that I was doing that blogger a favor being a buddy, then I get dissed without cause. I no longer get to read about one of my fav people, or stay in contact with them any more.

Excuse me, but I believe a "Dear Readers;" entry is called for!

Now today, another Blogger I thought I was friends with for years has the the same "It looks like you haven't been invited to read this blog" page. WTF?

Well, I didn't want to belong to your stuck-up, "private club" anyhow! I was looking for fellow bloggers to share words and feed-back with, because I live a lonely life. I'm a writer and I like interacting with other writers. Don't give it out then take it back- Indian Givers!
